Cooling Water treatment Solutions

A successful cooling water treatment program requires all of the following elements:

  • Technically sound chemical and mechanical programs must be combined. Scale, corrosion, fouling and Microbiological deposits all contribute to problems with heat transfer and ultimately, the quality of your process. Finding the right answers to avoid problems in a cooling water system can be a complex task. A good treatment program must address a variety of problems and yet be compatible throughout the entire system. Plant personnel must understand the importance of the cooling water system in relation to production. A comprehensive training program, such as the one Thermidaire offers, is an effective method of providing this knowledge to plant personnel. Monitoring and control must be continuous and must utilize the proper techniques, equipment and supplies.

1- THERMIZE PLUS C is compounded with several different organic and cationic products and prevents the three problems in cooling waters.

Cooling Water Biocides Problems

Microbiological growth is one of four major harmful phenomena that can occur in a cooling water system. The formation of bio-deposits on heat transfer surfaces results in significant heat transfer loss. These bio-deposits or slime layers can lead to the promotion of three other major problems: corrosion, scale and fouling.
