Irritant Hazard

Material Causing Other Toxic Effects
  • Hazard: Harmful to health when breathed, swallowed or in contact with the skin and can also cause irritation and sensitization.
  • Precaution: Avoid contact with the human body, immediately consult a physician in cases of illness.
Irritant Hazard Flammable and Combustible Substances
  • Hazard: Substances which ignite easily and burn rapidly.
  • Precaution: Keep away from heat, fire, sparks and sources of ignition.
Irritant Hazard Dangerously Reactive (Explosive) Substances 
  • Hazard: May react vigorously under definite conditions. 
  • Precaution: Avoid shock, friction, sparks and heat.
Irritant Hazard Oxidizing Substances 
  • Hazard: Can ignite combustible material or worsen existing fires, thus make fire-fighting more difficult. 
  • Precaution: Keep away from combustible material.
Irritant Hazard Toxic Substances
  • Hazard: Immediate and very hazardous to health when breathed, swallowed or in contact with the skin and may even lead to death.
  • Precaution: Avoid contact with the human body, immediately consult a physician in cases of illness.
Irritant Hazard Corrosive Substances
  • Hazard: Causes destruction of living tissue at the site of contact.
  • Precaution: Do not breathe vapors and avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Irritant Hazard Compressed Gas
  • Hazard: Product contained under pressure.
  • Precaution: Abide by critical temperature and absolute vapor pressure values.
Irritant Hazard Biohazardous Infectious Material
  • Hazard: Product contains bio-hazardous infectious organism or its toxin.
  • Precaution: Avoid contact with the human body, immediately consult a physician in cases of illness.
