BOILER WATER SEQUESTERANTS
AND SLUDGE CONDITIONER
S.F.C 806
407-806
PRODUCT
USES:
Thermidaire S.F.C 806 is
an aqueous solution of chelating
agents, organic polymers,
and tetrasodium salts. This
product is used when sludge
can effect the efficient of
the boiler system
Thermidaire S.F.C 806 is
a highly charged anionic polyelecectrolyte;
liquid blend designed
to prevent deposit formation
in boiler water systems and
will result in clean heat
transfer surface.
Thermidaire S.F.C 806 Inhibits
and distorts calcium carbonate
crystal formation and effectively
disperses iron oxides so they
can be removed easily by normal
blow-down under boiler operating
conditions
Thermidaire S.F.C 806 is
a sludge and foam product
being a hydrophilic colloid,
non-toxic substance that completely
dissolves in water. Thermidaire
S.F.C 806. reacts readily
with metallic ions such as
calcium and iron to form a
large flock or colloidal precipitate
of the metal. It will not
attack nor dissolve the iron
from the boiler shell, walls
or tubes.
Thermidaire S.F.C 806 is
used for the carry-over prevention
in boilers or evaporators
and to remove the heavy sludge
DESCRIPTION:
Physical State: Liquid
Colour: Clear to slightly
turbid.
ADVANTAGES:
Non-toxic and non-hazardous
product.
Very easy to handle.
Prevents foaming in boilers
and evaporators.
Reduces foaming and priming.
Prevents carry-over of the
boiler water.
Mobilizes sludge to facilitate
the removal by blow down procedure.
Reduces operating costs.
DOSAGE:
The amount of Thermidaire
S.F.C 806. required will
vary with different operating
conditions from 1/2 to 3/4
oz. of diluted solution (4:1
per gallon of make-up water).
S.F.C. should be diluted in
a ratio (1 quart of S.F.C.
to 3 quarts of tap water)
and injected continuously
to the suction of the boiler
feed pump, or directly to
the boiler for each gallon
of feed water required.
FEEDING:
Thermidaire S.F.C 806 may
be fed via a batch or neat.
To prepare a chemical batch
the product should be mixed
with soft water or condensate.
Introducing the mixture directly
to the boiler is recommended,
and it can be introduced to
the feedwater tank or deaerator.
Feed equipment and lines should
be of corrosion resistant
material. The optimum treatment
level for any plant will be
specified by Thermidaire Corporation
and will be dependent upon
the water parameters.
HANDLING:
Thermidaire S.F.C 806 (non-hazardous).
Avoid breathing, avoid contact
with eyes and skin, should
contact occur, flush immediately
with fresh water. If discomfort
persists, seek medical attention.
Do not take internally.
SPILL PROCEDURES:
Soak up with absorbent material
and scoop out. Wash area with
soap and water. Flush residue
to drain with copious amounts
of water. Local disposal regulations
must be observed.
Read
Material Data Sheets before
handling this product.
PACKAGING:
