Thermidaire
Slgtreat
503
is
a
highly
charged
anionic
polyelecectrolyte,
liquid
blend
designed
to
prevent
deposit
formation.

This
product
is
used
when
sludge
can
effect
the
efficient
of
the
boiler
system
in
boiler
water
systems
and
will
result
in
clean
heat
transfer
surface.

Will
condition
calcium
magnesium,
ferrous
iron
and
will
aid
in
maintaining
phosphate
based
materials
and
sludge
in
a
fluid
form
preventing
slug
from
forming
heat
insulating
scale
on
boiler
metal
surfaces.

Inhibits
and
distorts
calcium
carbonate
crystal
formation
and
effectively
disperses
iron
oxides
so
they
can
be
removed
easily
by
normal
blow-down
under
boiler
operating
conditions

DOSAGE:
Thermidaire Slgtreat 503 Dosage
will depend on boiler scale, sludge,
and operating conditions. The
dosage is based on maintaining
a feed rate of 2 ounces (60 ml.)
of product to1000 gallons makeup
water for a normal maintenance
dosage and up to 4 ounces (120
ml.) for sever conditions. 6 ounces
(180 ml.) for lay-up or start-up
applications. Thermidaire representative
depending on the application will
establish actual feedwater.
FEEDING:
Thermidaire Slgtreat 503 may
be fed via a batch or neat. To
prepare a chemical batch the product
should be mixed with soft water
or condensate. Introducing the
mixture directly to the boiler
is recommended, and it can be
introduced to the feedwater tank
or deaerator. Feed equipment and
lines should be of corrosion resistant
material.
HANDLING:
Thermidaire Slgtreat 503
Acidic, Alkaline product.
Avoid breathing, avoid contact
with eyes and skin, should contact
occur, flush immediately with
fresh water. If discomfort persists,
seek medical attention. Do not
take internally.
